  Why Join the Cub Scouts?

As a parent, it can be a challenge to find programs that allow you to spend time together while teaching your son valuable skills. Cub Scouting helps teach timeless skills and values you want your son to learn while having fun.

In a society where your son is taught that winning is everything, Cub Scouting teaches him to “do his best" and to be helpful to others.

Scouting promotes socially positive behavior while arming our boys with the skills and knowledge they need to make wise decisions. Developing leadership skills, a sense of community and values that promote personal responsibility, Scouting alumni make up nearly 90% of all student counsel presidents and 2/3 of all Rhodes Scholars.

But this isn't about statistics (though impressive), this is about confidently knowing that your child will have the best experience possible. In groups of boys their own age (Den's), the children complete ready-made challenges that teach values consistent with good citizenship, character development, and physical fitness. The Boy Scouts of America has been weaving these lifetime values into fun and educational activities since 1910.

Scouting isn't just for your son. There are many wholesome activities for the entire family, and parents are encouraged to participate or become a leader in the Scouts. Not only will your son have memories for a lifetime, but you have the opportunity to be a part of those memories.

We know that building character is a great reason for boys to join the Scouts. But boys stick with it because it is fun.

Scouting is fun with a purpose!
